Welcome to William Cassidi C of E Primary School

Newsletter – Summer 2 2024

Hot Weather (hopefully)
As we commence the final half-term of the academic year can we remind parents and carers to ensure pupils come to school on hot days with sunscreen applied at home, a water bottle and a cap.

2024/2025 Staffing and Class Allocations

As you are aware from our previous newsletter, Mrs Allen is retiring at the end of the summer term and myself and school governors were completing a recruitment process; Mrs Heasman has been appointed and will begin some transition work next half-term before formally starting with us in September. Y5 parents and carers are already aware that Mr Clark will also be leaving school at the end of this academic year. Mr Clark was appointed on a fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave for Mrs Taylor and Mrs Mohan, who will be returning to work on the 1 st July. We wish Mr Clark well as he relocates to London over the summer holidays and begins employment at a school in Lambeth in September. Mrs Taylor and Mrs Mohan have started their transition process back into work this half-term.

Children who are starting Reception in September will begin an enhanced transition process; children will complete two transition days on Friday 28th June and Friday 5th July. New starter packs for Reception children are now available to collect from the school office. The 1st – 7 th July is Stockton’s Secondary Transition Week for Y6-Y7 transition.
